Hey guys! For my first blog post on the site, I've decided to post a video going over the activation system used in Hail of Fire, as well as demonstrate an new layer if command and control I'm considering implementing. It's a work in progress, so check it out and let me know your thoughts:

Liked this 1st video. Some interesting concepts here, but I couldn't help but notice that you said more videos were to follow. Do you have any idea when they will show up? Thanks, Scott

Hey Scott, thanks for watching! Yes, I had planned to do a series that week, but I was borrowing the camera and had to give it back ;) I'll see how quickly I can do the other videos. I'm prepping to release the next version of the rules and looking for people to give them a play test. If you or anyone you know is interested, hit me up, I'd really appreciate the notes! Also, I think soon I'm going to replace this good with a blogspot one as it has more features, so if you see your comment disappear at some point, I apologize. Thanks again!

Brandon, I would like to playtest the latest version of the rules. I have played FoW since version 1 & while I do like them, I am looking for something which has a little more realism. I like the straight forward mechanics of FoW, but also feel it glosses over some of the more important aspects of WW2 combat, such as defensive opportunity fire & the "empty battlefield" concept & the importance of recon. Hoping your next version will cover these points!

Well, I enjoy FoW as well, but wanted something that covered most of those bases with a lot less overhead, something just a few pages long that I could teach quickly, while also adding a couple key elements I personally found very interesting. Hopefully they address some of your desires as well. If you can provide me your email address, I'll send you the newest beta and you can provide me feedback and I figure out what last things I want to explore before putting it online.

Brandon, my email address is [email protected] I was also curious if you will be including any type of close combat in this next version.

Do you mean something other than the Assault rules? Assaults in the new rules work a bit differently than the current version, though the results aren't that dissimilar. Emailing you the new rules as we speak!
